Leonardo Dicaprio Would Not Approve

Turns out that the Catch Me If You Can approach of impersonating a lawyer and an officer of the law only works in Hollywood. At least that is what has to be running through Mauricio Celis’s head right now. Per the San Antonio Express News, the prominent Democrat donor has had two more indictments added to the four he was already facing…money laundering and impersonating a lawyer.

Now come on. If Jack Dawson can drag his ass off the ocean floor and throw Forest Gump for a loss while impersonating a pilot, doctor, lawyer and even a Secret Service Agent, then there really is no excuse for Celis not pulling off the lesser by standing in as a lawyer and a South Texas Sheriff. Seriously, who among us hasn’t used the “I’m a South Texas Sheriff” line at least once in our life to try and pick up a girl at a bar?

Well, if you’re like me and you have, keep it to yourself because apparently Celis is facing more prison time than I’m comfortable with. Between this guy and Boris Miles you have to give the Democrats this much…at least when they break the law, they do it colorfully.

The Celis deal is news to me… Where have I been?

I can’t help but think of Todd Gallaher on this one: “Rep Jaun Garcia was a cartoon character I invented several years ago…” If this Republican isn’t breaking the law colorfully, I don’t know who is.
