Mike Krusee…Leading By Example
It really warms my heart whenever our esteemed lawmakers take the moral high road and opt to lead by example with their various laws and initiatives that they pass upon us common people. In that spirit, I have to give a shout out to my man, Rep. Mike Krusee. In 2003 he passed a responsible driver package meant to help boost the Texas Mobility Fund that included increased fines for 1st time DWI offenders. Well never the person to ask other to contribute where he won’t, Krusee did his part last night by boozing it up and getting behind the wheel.
The Regional Mobility Fund thanks you, Mike, for getting involved.
The statesman has this story. Apparently the Honorable was so upset over being frowned upon by his voters and then blown off by the Governor that he felt the need to drink it off last night. Unfortunate for the soon to be ex-state rep., he also felt the need to drive home as well.
Hey, Mikey, here’s a free tip…if you’re going to drive drunk, at least make sure all your vehicle tags are current. Oh, and then there’s the don’t swerve between multiple lanes thing, too.
Thank God this bruise on the face of the Republican party took his name out of the running by retiring from office. After this and everything else that has plagued his service, there’s very little chance that he could have stood up against a hyped up democrat push.
On a final note for this post…I was going to write a comment on BOR’s similar report, but apparently you have to set up an account with them first, and I just don’t have the energy for that. So instead I’ll say my piece here and hope that it gets to them…
To BOR -
I know that I have had my fun with you in the past, but anytime you guys want to rail on Mike Krusee, I’m right there with you. But refresh my memory if you don’t mind, when Democrat Harold Dutton got popped with his DWI about this time last year, did ya’ll report it? Or conveniently bury it?
