I want to go around September ( hopefully if something isn’t brewing off the coast). What charter would you recommend that is family friendly with a lot of people going and is very safe and friendly?
I know fishing isn’t big around Myrtle but is a place we really want to go to and unwind b/c they have good sites and have great food.

Does the captain of a fishing charter get to keep the giants?
I have heard that it is well known rule that the captain of a fishing charter gets to keep any "giant" fish like Tuna, etc. Is this true, and why is this allowed if you are the one paying for the boat charter?

If I catch a billfish on a charter fishing trip, do I get value of fish deducted from cost?
I recently chartered a boat and caught several fish including a large (400+lb) marlin. The captain just took the fish and didn’t offer me any money for it even though I am sure he sold it for meat, etc. I don’t fish a lot so pls tell me if the captain should have deducted the value of the fish from my bill.

What type of fishing charter should i go on ON the Oregon coast?
within the first 2 weeks of july i will be heading out to the Oregon coast. Im hoping to book a fishing charter. i have the options of Salmon, Halibut, Tuna, Bottom fishing or sturgeon. Which should i do as in which will i have the best chance of catching something in the first 2 weeks of july? Also does any one know of any good lakes/rivers or streams for fishing in Oregon?
